About Just One More Fish
Founded by Jesse in 2020, Just One More Fish is a family-owned business dedicated to the breeding, rescuing, education, and conservation of numerus aquatic species. Our passion for the hobby drives us to provide top-quality fish, while engaging in events with other aquatic enthusiasts. Our mission is to share our love for all aquatic life, while promoting responsible pet ownership and conservation efforts. A goal of ours is to use our numerous ponds on our farm to serve as a retirement community for the monster fish we rescue.
Currently, Jesse is working on finishing up building the 3rd fish room for Just One More Fish. We moved near the end of November 2024, filling up only half of the new fish room. By completion, the new fish room should hold approximately 300 tanks including our indoor ponds.
With all the recent changes occurring, we decided to dive into our social media platform. We are currently working on content to show how everything was built, so make sure to follow us on our socials linked below to stay updated!
About Jesse
Jesse comes from a lineage of men whose careers and hobbies have supported wildlife, so his dream is nothing short of that. From his earliest memories, Jesse always had a passion for all things aquatic, which contributed to the vast knowledge he has today. Jesse started out by breeding guppies and angel fish around the age of 15 years old. His soft spot for monster fish began when he acquired his first gar in 2017. The Florida spotted gar, along with his alligator gar, later became the dynamic duo seen in our logo. When the shutdown of 2020 happened, like many others, Jesse turned his focus to his fish room. The fish room began to rapidly expand, and therefore, Just One More Fish was founded.
In October of 2023, Jesse was in a horrific car accident that nearly costed him his life. As a result, he lives with permanent significant damage to his shoulder and arm. He spent a month in the hospital, during which the fish room suffered greatly. Once the news spread in the community, some of our good friends in the fish hobby rallied together to help. The support and messages Jesse received inspired him to put all of his focus into the business once he was able to get back into the fish room.
